I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the P4b families for the very generous cards, gifts and warm wishes today. It has been a brilliant year and I am really looking forward to welcoming all the children back in August!
Month: June 2017
As part of our work on weather, we investigated different climates and learned some of the technical words used in weather forecasts. After choosing which country we wanted to focus on, we used an atlas to learn about the average temperatures and rainfall. Finally we created our own weather symbols and then enjoyed present our forecasts to the class.
Our book club meetings have been going really well. I was delighted to see some people taking their learning to the next level. Theo and Hannako made models based on their book at home and Matthew and Claude spent their Golden Time coming up with some additional chapters of their reading book. Loving the enthusiasm!
We have been learning all about weather in p4 at the moment. Our homemade rain gauges have been put to good use already! We have also been learning about the different instruments used to measure weather and are creating our own weather forecasts tomorrow, trying to use lots of the technical weather words.
We had a great day yesterday and although the sun didn’t quite manage to shine, we still had lots of fun. Well done everyone for cheering each other on and making it a fun filled morning!
